3. I really don’t know what started me with this album, I mean “Party” was hot but off the first full listen I didn’t like it. Next thing you know I hear it a second time and I was like “Yo I love this.” It’s that including the wild publicity she had last Summer, from the anticipation of her album, to Hov and Kanye being making a highly anticipated album and her being featured on one of the tracks, to her being pregnant and showing it off at the VMA’s, to her having a concert that sold out in 22 seconds, it was like you were in Beyonce’s world. She has made music that showed her vulnerable side, but I think this one shows it the most. Some people call wack or sappy, I think the lyrics are beautiful. Like the way Beyonce details love on this album is how I want to be loved by a woman dead ass, love. From “I Miss You”, to “Rather Die Young”, to “I Care”, to “Start Over”, it was all pure honesty and humility. Like it or not, one this you should get out of this album of anything is unconditional love. Try listening to one of those songs I pointed out when you’re really in that mood with your lover, you’ll definitely feel different about them. They fit. So yeah this album really stood out to me and will always help me remember Summer 2011. True story: My ex told me this album helped her get over me (bitch). Funny thing is at that time I was going to buy it for her. “Thank GOD she blew it, thank GOD I dodged a bullet.” Lol. (Taken with instagram)
